Atlanta virtual CFO firm owner receives honors as young industry leader.
Cathy Iconis, CPA, founder and CEO of Iconis Group, LLC, has been named as one of CPA Practice Advisor’s 2014 40 Under 40.
This list of honorees includes high achievers from across the accounting profession. It is designed to recognize the best and brightest young leaders in the industry who have distinguished themselves by their thought leadership, professional contributions and commitment to client service.
Each year the organization seeks nominations for candidates from industry peers, and then whittles down the collection to a short list of outstanding performers who are making an exceptional impact on the profession.
CPA Practice Advisor says about these young luminaries, “The core goal of all of these professionals is to help make the profession more flexible and embracing of the changes that are necessary to keep it thriving and attractive to future accountants, as well as to highlight the importance of the field to all audiences…They are all active in the professional community, as well as in their local communities, where many are small business owners and employers. They can frequently be seen at industry trade shows, such as AICPA Tech+ and PCPS, giving seminars or participating in round table discussions on evolving practices and technologies. These are the voices of today that are shaping the profession of tomorrow.”
Cathy, whose successful virtual CFO and outsourced accounting firm is based in Atlanta, is enthusiastic about being named to this prestigious list: “I’m so honored to be a part of CPA Practice Advisor’s 40 Under 40 list this year. I am humbled to be around all the other great recipients of this award, especially those whom I consider great friends like David Leary, Kim Hogan and Stacy Kildal. There are amazing cloud solutions in the marketplace and my passion is helping businesses and firms understand how valuable these systems really are for our economy as well as the success of their individual companies. I am so lucky to be in accounting right now and am excited about all the technology advancements that are happening around us and are changing our profession for the better.”
